The Challenge

The Harvard Program in Therapeutic Science (HiTS) is an academic research and education program that advances the fundamental science underlying human diseases and drug discovery in order to improve patient care. Every year, the program facilitates personal growth amongst lab members through a monthly series of internal presentations related to professional development, lab operations, fellowships, and more.

The Approach

Collaborating with co-organizers Drs. Han Xu and Juliann Tefft, Christina utilized a high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite to establish consistent branding and striking visuals for interoffice promotion across multiple platforms. She then promoted these social lunches through scheduled email blasts, targeted posts on Slack channels, and entries within internal lab calendars at Harvard.

The Results

In the age of hybrid and remote work meetings, the HiTS Social Lunch series brings welcome revitalization of in-person social gatherings, an additional platform for lab members to engage in discussions and interactive sessions, and a heightened sense of community as they drive innovation and progress within their respective areas of research.
